Lewisville ISD Bad Weather Make-Up Days

Friday, May 22 and Thursday, June 4 will be regular school days to make up for the two days that Lewisville ISD was closed due to inclement weather in February. These two dates were approved by LISD's Board of Trustees as part of the 2014-2015 Academic Calendar. LISD is seeking a waiver from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for the third day, March 5. The last day of school will be Friday, June 5, which will be an early release day for students.

LISD House Bill 5 Rating Parent Survey

Lewisville ISD (LISD) is asking parents to participate in our House Bill 5 (HB 5) Survey launching Monday, March 16, 2015 and ending Friday, March 27, 2015. Designed and administered by independent technology and communications firm K12 Insight, the survey asks for parent thoughts on how well our schools are performing in a number of important topic areas.

6th Grade Immunizations

Just a reminder that spring break week is a great time to get up to date on school immunizations. All 6th graders need to get a tetanus booster (Tdap), meningitis vaccine (menactra or MCV4) and their 2nd varicella vaccine (chicken pox booster).

Announcements 2-26-15

7th Grade Girls interested in trying out for Cheerleading must attend tonight's meeting at 6:30 in the library. Also, Mustang Theater will be performing tonight at 6:30 in the Cafeteria. Admission is free.

Lewisville ISD Weather Information

We want to take time to remind parents that Lewisville ISD (LISD) is constantly monitoring inclement weather situations. In the event of bad weather, we must consider the safety of all 53,000 students in our 127-square mile district when making decisions about school closures. LISD administrators will determine school cancellations based on the safety of all students district-wide.
